The Wedding Day

On Palm Sunday, the focus is usually on Jesus the King. Today I want to talk about that—but also say something more. I want to focus on this truth: Jesus is not just a king; He is an engaged to be married King—a promised King. Soon He will be a married King. His bride is the people of God—the people who trust Him, the elect from every nation, the church. He came the first time 2,000 years ago to die for His bride—to pay a dowry, so to speak, with His own blood. He will come a second time to marry His bride and take us, His church, to paradise with Him.
