Who are the heirs of the promises made to Abraham and to his seed? Who are the beneficiaries of the blessing of Abraham? The promises were never made to every physical descendant of Abraham. Just as Isaac, not Ishmael, was the child of promise, and Jacob, not Esau, was the child of promise.
