CURRENT CLASSES

BILD 1.4 :: CULTIVATING HABITS OF THE HEART with Mat Miller
// Wednesdays at 7:00-8:15pm

God never intended our lives to be based on a set of individual daily habits, but rather on a whole life orientation that grows out of family and community life. We are not to gain insights from the Bible fundamentally in isolation but from disciplines in all spheres of our lives. God carefully designed these habits to guide each believer into a life in which Christ can richly dwell in our hearts, resulting in our entire lives being transformed by our calling.
This class will meet for six sessions on from April 20-May 18 at the church. Materials cost: $9

UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE with Jay Gjurgevich
// Wednesdays at 7:00-8:15pm

There is no doubt that the Bible is unlike any other book ever written. As the true and living Word of God, the Bible is a wonderful and powerful book that speaks to every aspect of our world. Written over a span of 1500 years by 40 authors and utilizing almost every type of literary form, the Bible has been studied, revered, and cherished by God’s people. Since it is often complex, the Bible has also been subject to misunderstandings and misapplications. In this class, we will embrace the complexity of the Bible as God’s Word and develop the background knowledge and skills that will help us to understand God’s revelation of himself to us. Our focus will be on learning the necessary historical and literary context from Genesis to Revelation, developing a biblical worldview and discovering how God’s Word changes our lives. This class will meet for six sessions from April 20 to May 25 at the church.
